A Note From Our Director:
Dear Friends,
Today, the John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami University launches the Miami Entrepreneurship Network, an online presence connecting and supporting the worldwide network of Miami entrepreneurs. The Miami Entrepreneurship Network will serve as a hub for networking, information, opportunities, innovation, and inspiration and we are excited to begin serving our students, alumni, partners, and friends on this new platform.
We are launching this new project in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the many challenges we all now face, Miami and the Altman Institute remain open for business, carrying out remote instruction for more than 1,000 undergraduate entrepreneurship students, and our faculty and staff are working diligently to find new and innovative ways to translate our content and events into online platforms where possible.
During this period, we have been reminded that many businesses are struggling to cope with the economic downturn and we want to offer our support to startup founders, small business owners, and leaders of non-profits. That’s why we’ve chosen this time to introduce miamientrepreneurship.net as a channel to provide support, tools, and other resources to businesses affected most by the crisis.
I hope you will join us in this endeavor. You can stay connected and up to date with what we are doing by following us on any of our social media platforms.
Take care during these difficult times, and feel free to contact us at entrepreneurship@miamioh.edu if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Love and Honor,
Tim R. Holcomb, Ph.D.
